| Goodbye from The Bulletin... |
|
Sadly, this is the last Burwell Bulletin. For the past three years the paper has been delivered to the doors of Burwell, and more recently, Reach, twice each month, in an attempt to keep the community in touch with what is going on in the villages. The Bulletin started three years ago, on 1st November 2008, after local groups expressed a need to get news out to the village on a frequent and regular basis. It has been funded by the Editor and by advertising from businesses in an attempt to give local groups and charities free or very low cost publicity for their activities and events. Reports in the first issue were about Halloween, the public meeting to address anti-social behaviour, cuts to bus services and the unveiling of the historical plaque at Judy’s Hole, North Street. Now we come to the final issue with funding handed out by the carnival and Burwell’s ambitious Masterplan. Many advertisers will have come to the end of their yearly run of advertisements. Those needing refunds will be contacted in a few weeks. We also respectfully ask those advertisers who owe payments to help by honouring those debts. Thank you for your support and custom over the past three years |
